20 SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE PLACEMENTS.
“SOME SUGGESTIONS REGARDING THE PLACEMENTS”
1) Attend the Pre Placement Talk session with attention. It may bore you but it’s very helpful for understanding what this recruitment needs in the candidates.
2) Don’t be a dumb batch! Respond to HR in the Pre Placement Session!
3) Don’t ask unnecessary questions (for example - How the payment shall be provided? Check or cash) to the HR. Don’t put him in the perception that he is dealing with a stupid crowd.
4) Grammar test needs to your actual knowledge of English. The questions in the test are SIMPLE not EASY.
5) One day preparation for grammar test won’t work.
6) Mark the answer (in your answer sheet) when you make your final decision, no need to perform overwriting else this may disqualify your answer.
6) While giving your introduction in the JAM or GD round, don’t speak like a programmed machine. DON’T LEARN YOUR INTRODUCTION BY HEART. Speak as if you are a human and your listener too is a human. Panels want to listen and understand you; don’t put them in an expression that you have mugged up the introduction.
7) When you are given a random topic at once (JAM) try to keep your calm, think about a concept related to the topic (for example if the topic is Mirror then you may think about the concept of types of mirrors as convex and concave, and may talk about their properties). So once you get the topic no need to start within a fraction of second. Stay calm, and make your imagination work upon the topic and after two or three seconds you may start speaking.
8) Don’t try to fake anything. Speak what you usually speak. No need to fetch heavy words. Talking about the accent, keep it original. No need to become a British. They can figure out the truth easily.
9) In order to improve the English start watching English series and movies. Try to watch them without subtitles. For such a purpose I would recommend- big bang theory (Sheldon Cooper) and Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch).
10) Most crucial step to improve English is to speak it daily amongst people. It sounds funny and you may ignore it, but that’s the only way to quit hesitation.
11) For technical (for GET post in HCL) get a grip over coding and networking. If you are not of CS/IT branch then either stay in touch with C or get a course of JAVA done.
12) During interview if you are not able to write a program then make a flow chart and explain the logic.
13) Keep your logic of the program as simple as possible because if it gets too complex then the interviewer may reject your program no matter even if it is actually correct.
14) Speak relevant! No need to answer weird things. If you don’t know then admit it! No need to fake.
15) For HR round, stay calm and confident. Keep a proper eye contact with the HR.
16) Don’t lie! Speak what is obvious.
17) Don’t and never leave your morals to get the job.
18) HR wants to know you as a person so don’t try to show off.
19) Accept what he says and do put your point of view. Don’t argue!
20) Friends, you will surely get a job. I am a very average student. Very average in looks and knowledge. If I can, then trust me, you surely can!
